I am researching Stefano Pola born ca 1843, maybe at Lombady, Italy, parents Gertold Pola and his wife Marie Morantelli according to his 1921 death certificate in Victoria, Australia.

Stefano arrived in Australia from Naples on board the “Chimborazo” in March 1884.

He married in Victoria during 1890, and applied to be naturalised in 1893.

I see that the index for "Como and Lecco, Lombardy, Italy, Civil Registration Records, 1866-1936" includes Stefano Pola, but I do not have access to these records. Can anyone please help?

Just a little clue, but I believe that the correct lastname of Stefano's wife was Marantelli...
Both Marantelli and Pola are lastnames present mainly in the province of Sondrio, Lombardy region. (Marantelli especially in the town Bianzone)
