I compiled much of my Family History using Roots3 more than a decade ago now and thought that I had lost it all when a computer crashed a few years ago. But, fortunately I have found the database again on an old floppy complete with around 3500 names.
I have decided to use PAF to redo the history but I am in need of advice on how to convert Roots3 files to GEDCOM so that I can import the old stuff without having to re-enter everything.
Having done a google search it would appear that I require a program called R2GED. Can anyone help me with information or with supply of this program.

Thanks for the info but the file I need for conversion of my data to a GEDCOM file is R2GED. That doesn't seem to be available from that site.

Can anyone supply that file to me.

The software available from that site I posted will do exactly what you need. Convert a RootsIII file to GEDCOM.

I suggest you give it a try.

You know what? I was wrong, the file I recommended converts a GEDCOM from Roots3 to a higher version of GEDCOM for importing to current softwares.
