Am looking for any info on Edward Knack (Knaack), born in Chicago, 21 May 1887. His parents were Otto F. Knack and Amalia (Amalie) Grabinski. The 1920 census shows him living at 5233 S. LIncoln Street in Chicago, with wife, Martine (sp?), two daughters, Martine and Evellyn, and one son, Richard. I believe the family eventually settled in Adrian, Michigan. Edward had five half-brothers, of which my father, Harry, was one, but the second family completely lost track of Edward.

If you find additional information, I would be interested. Amalie was a sister to Bertha Grabinski, and I have found NO information on Bertha other than what I know from family. Bertha married August Steinbring. They had several children, including Edward, Max, Martha Marie, and Minnie Teresa. Edward was my grandfather.
There may be information at the Newberry Library in Chicago from the church where they married: German Evangelical Lutheran St. Matthews Church.
So I am particularly interested in Amalie and Bertha's ancestry.

I have a copy of the marriage license for Otto Knack and Amalie Grabinski.
Let me know how to send it to you.
