WAUKESHA, Wis. — Clarence O. “Pete”
Peterson, 75, of Waukesha, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 13, 1926, in Homestead, Wis., son of Clarence and Mabel (Belongie)
Peterson. He was a 1944 graduate of
Kingsford High School and attended Marquette University.
Clarence was a retiree of Aldrich Chemical Co. in Milwaukee. He served as the town assessor for six years and the town chairman for four years, from 1965 to 1975 for the town of Vernon. He was also the owner of the former Uptown Dinette, which was located in Mukwonago on the square.
Clarence was a member of the Genealogical Society.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha (

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the
Schmidt & Bartelt-VanValin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. in Mukwonago. The family eulogy will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
