Surnames: Malone, Cockerham
My father, Willie E. Malone was born May 10, 1913 in Texas and I think his father's name was Charles (Charlie) Benton Malone. I am looking for Willie's parents and grandparents. I think there are some relatives named Cockerhams. I know that someone in Texas was working on a Family Tree, but I understand she died before she finished. I have not heard from anyone in the last few years regarding that tree.

Good luck finding unimpeachable proof of Charles B. Malone's heritage! Your uncle witnessed his father's death certificate and did not know his parents. Did you post in Carson County because of possible clues to their heritage?

If it is of any use to you I am attaching a photocopy of what may be the Charlie B. Malone family bible. It shows Williw May 10, 1913; Charles Benton June 11, 1922; Allie Mae April 13, 1924; Roy Lee month is unclear 29, 1926; Bradley Aug 1929; C B Malone February 8, 1869; Allie Malone Oct 14, 1887. Also is attached is a photo of Charlie B Malone and Mittie C Bodine Malone.
I believe the elder CB Malone may be the brother of my grandfather Robert Romie Malone.

Bryan Malone

The family bible authenticity validated by online birth certificates: Willie Edward Malone (10 May 1913) and Bradley Malone (24 Aug 1929). That info found https://familysearch.org/ Also found same website are death certificates: C. B. Malone (8 Feb 1867 - 25 Mar 1951) and Florence Allie Malone (14 Oct 1887 - 19 Mar 1947). Your grandfather wed 22 Sep 1895, C. B. wed Mittie Caroline Bodine 8 May 1900, and Louiza Jane Malone filed for Civil War Widow's Pension 9 Sep 1899. All of those events took place in Fannin County and that's strong evidence of kinship.

Attn: Bryan David Malone. If you have a public family tree, please extend an invitation? Although not related, I'm interested in solving the riddle of Charlie Benton Malone. I agree with your conclusion that he, Charlie, was your grandfather's brother.
