I am searching for information about my Barker family. I know my great grandparents originated in New York. I have the following information. Grandfather was George Collin Barker born March 15, 1890 in Omaha Nebraska. He married Ernestine Marie Jaccar from Flumet. Hte Savoie France on January 25, 1916. Died October 21, 1958 in Sheridan, Wyoming. He owned a ranch near Parkman, Wyoming. His fathers name was Benjamin Frank Barker born in Summerville New York on January 28, 1849. He married Anna Popst, a Canadian, on September 20, 1871. He died January 3, 1917 at the ranch near Parkman. His fathers name was Benjamin Barker who was born in 1801 and died January 19, 1857. He married Betsy Harland who was born Febuary 10, 1823 and died October 14, 1881. His fathers name was Benjamin Barker who was born May 16, 1777 and died December 29, 1840. He married Phebee Johnson on January 4, 1798. She was born April 6, 1776 and died August 28, 1846. I believe both the latter Benjamins lived in New York.

Greatgrandfather George Popst gold miner in Cripple Creek, Teller County Colorado, died 1895.

I have information on the Cripple Creek Popst'. Anna Popst married Benjamin Barker in New York and came west. They ended up around the Colorado gold mines and I believe some of Anna's family came with them. Please respond.

My Grandma Evelyn Barker Munch (who was the granddaughter of Benjamin Adam-who died in Cripple Creek Co) corresponded with Earnestine Marie Jaccaz Barker for many yrs. Do you have any information on Karen Barker from Sheridan Wyoming, she is about 63 yr old? My mom (Elaine Munch) used to write to her while they were in High School.
