Need help with this mystery. Found and Amy Preston between the names Louisa Preston and Edward Preston on an passenger list from 1909. I know she is not the daughter of Louisa as she was born 3 years after Louisa's husband's death. I also found a marriage record in Nippising to an Edward Murton on which she lists her father as Frank Edward Preston and her mother as Louisa Michelson. I found a 1911 census of Canada with Anny Merton, Edward Merton and a child, Edward C Merton but have no other information. Does any of this ring a bell to anyone out there?

I can't find birth record for him.

Discovered the real last name for Amy's husband and child is Muton. Edward C Muton is buried in St. John's cemetery, Garson, Sudbury District, Ontario. Still no luck with Amy.

I did a search for Edward Muton on Ontario, Canada marriages and found Edward Mutton married Amy Treston...all the same info re: witnesses, etc. Maybe, we need to search for Amy Treston. Sandra

I have also researched Amy Preston. She came to Can. with my g/grandfather Edward W.H. Preston and his mother, Louisa Preston. I think (maybe) Amy Preston's mother was Louisa Nicholson. The name is not clear on m/certificate. I think that Louisa Nicholson married Joe Nicholson and then maybe Frank Preston. Louisa Nicholson was born in Germany and her name may have been Luise Greeb. I think that Frank Preston may have been Amy's stepfather.
Lots of possibilities.

Myself and my girl friend have been researching her family tree, after a basic Google search on Frank Edward Preston I came across your message board subjected “Amy Preston born 1890 England Immigrated in 1909”.

Louisa Greebe was married to a man called “Joseph Nicholson” which is the direct bloodline to my girl friends family, but after digging around we have also found out she might have been married to “Frank Edward Preston”.

We are very happy to share any information you require and we would be grateful for any information in which you hold. – She had 7 children with Joseph Nicholson.
