Hi! My G.G.G.Grandfather was John Blucher. He came from
Hesse State, Germany in 1846.I have also been told about
a castle that belongs to the Blucher family but I have never seen the crest.I know that John Blucher changed his name
to Bleeker some time around 1850.But his son Adam did not
changes his name until much later. If you think that John may
be one of the Blucher that you are looking for, I do have more
information.Let me know and I will share what I have..

Interesting. John von Bluser, Blucher, or Bouser. My grandfather was one of many of the last dukes of Prussia. Was wondering, were told of your grandfather having a conflict w/ the bolsheviks during WWII? Have you been told, that you are of Prussian blood too. My grandfathers name was John. Did your grandfather get enlisted by the US Army during WWII? Please reply. I haven't seen the crest either. Thank you.

Linda,
My gggg grandfather was John Bleeker that came to America in 1846 from Hesse State, Germany. I found the passenger list for the ship and it listed him as Johan Blek with wife Victorine and son. I am in early stages of family tree. Do you have other info or did you find out anything on castle.

Does anyone know who the wife of Gebhardt Von Blucher was? Was she a baroness? I do know that he was married twice and had 7 children.
