Is everyone aware of The Kemper Book by Clarence Cannon? I have a copy and it includes many lines of Kempers, including the settling of Germana, before that Johann Kemper from Germany. If I can look up anything for anyone e-mail me kandeelb@aol.com

I would be interested in any information your book might have on Francis Kemper/Camper that married Susannah Isenhower.

I have not seen that book. I am a "newbee" to genealogy research and it is very interesting to know that there are so many publications out there on my family. I had no clue! I only have a few books on the Kempers and Germanna that were given to me when my grandmother (Frances Craig Kemper Allen) passed away this summer. I'm wondering if your book mentions Edward S. Kemper (son of Rodham Kemper & Ann Kisling) (m. Susan M. Craig). I have seen his middle name as Stevens and also Stephenson and wondering what this book has to say about it. (I'm Edward's ggg-granddaughter). Thanks in advance! Amity Powell

Is your Edward Kemper from Dubois County, Patoka Township, Indiana. If so we are related. He married Fredrica
Kroenmeyer. I'm not sure if Kroenmeyer is spelled correctly.
Please let me know. I am looking for any information on this
family.

No, my Edward S. Kemper married Susan M. Craig, both from Rockingham County, Virginia. I don't believe they ever moved to Indiana.

You are most certainly welcome! But, you know, if you come from John Kemper of the 1714 Germanna settlement, which I am only assuming since we are both on the Germanna message board, then we are distant cousins anyhow. :-) Best of luck in your search with the Indiana Kempers! Amity

I don't know if John Kemper is related or not. I'm still in the 1800's on my research but I will let you know if I find out.
Thanks again.

Donna,

I am researching the same Kemper family as you.
Evert (Edward) Kemper (born about 1832 in Germany) married Fredericka Kroenmeyer in Cincinatti, Ohio.
They lived near Holland, Dubois County, Indiana.

Please contact me about this family.

Hey everybody. I am writing in regards to the Kemper Family Book. I have been researching my family tree pretty steady for a couple years, but all of the Kemper info is what we have found on my wife's side... Great History! I am completely fascinated with Reuben and his brothers and the impact they had on our country. I currently have the Genealogy of the "Kemper Family of the United States" book, and also, "The Confederacy's Forgotten Son", all about Gov. James Lawson Kemper. I should be getting "The Rogue Republic" in the mail this week. This one is on the Kemper Brothers, Reuben, Samuel, and Nathan, and how they started the revolution that resulted in the Republic of West Florida.
My Wife's Father is the 6th Great Grandson of John Kemper of the Germanna Settlement, or at least, that is what our research shows to date. We are ordering a DNA test to confirm. Great Stuff! If I can be of any help to anyone on the Kemper family, please let me know.
