Has anyone found the correct parents for Zebulon Burch b. 1795 Chautauqua Co., NY d. bet 1840 and 1850 married Margaret Yearton? I have seen a couple of possibilites: Thomas (1756-1837)/Susanna Talburt (1756-?) and Benoni (1749-1825)/Phoebe UNKNOWN (1750-?).
Also would it be safe to say that he is a descendant of Thomas Birch (abt 1615-8 May 1657) who imigrated here?
Thank you for any help,
Ryan

You can rule out Thomas and Susannah. Never in New York. He went to Indiana to see sons and died there while living in what is now West Virginia. His children are known and do not include Zeb.

I have a Thomas Burch that bought land in Ripley, NY in Jul, 1816. I always figured that was him, but it doesnt show a wife or dates.

There were at least 3 Zebulon Burch of that period. One was the son of Admiral Burch Sr. One that was probably son of Thomas; and possibly one that was born in Steuben Co NY. Please contact me off line for discussion.
