Daniel & Alexander Strahovski were refugees sent to US 1830-40. Where can I find their Polish records?

How did you get that far to 1804 and not find a place of birth for Daniel?

We have 2 newspaper obituaries..he has a long & interesting story, MexAmerican War,gold miner in CA ...so we know from Census where he was, but not his origin! He puts Russia on the census for country of origin. He came to US w/brother Alexander.

No church marriage record, children's church baptismal record, naturalization, arrival manifest? Without a precise place of birth I don't believe you can go ahead with the research.

If we could find records of soldiers who were in the revolution against Russia, it seems as if there would be military records in Warsaw. Do you ever watch Finding Your Roots? They've gone to Poland and found military records. Ancestry sure doesn't have anything. Do you have any ideas?
