Hi

It is a long shot but I am looking for information to find my Dads Father or to know his name.
I suppose it started when my Grandmother "Michalina Lachera" was liberated and placed in a Displaced Persons camp along with her mother and 2 brothers. It was here she met a Big Polish Solider. The only information we have is his name was "Adam". My Great Uncle says he was big, my Father takes after him, he is very tall.
In 1947 my Father Josef was born in the Displaced Persons Camp in Hildesheim.
Is there any records regarding Soilders who were in this Displaced Persons camp?
Apparently he had an argument with one of my nans brothers and left and returned to his family in Poland.
