Krajkovici -Kurilish family

I found a baptism record for Kurilish family in which it lists the place of birth for Tomo Kurilich as Krajkovici Hercegovina
or at least that is what I think is closest to the translation. Tomo Kurilich had on his WWI draft card that he was from Trebinje So I am thinking krajkovici would be close to Trebinje. I am wondering if anyone is familar with that village or the Kurilich family from that area.

There are 2 places in BiH called Krajkovici... one in the Federation (between Mostar and Sarajevo and the other (near Trebinje) in Srpska Repulika. The one near Tebinje has a pop. of 23, 19 Serbs and 3 declared themselves as yugoslavs

I believe the record I am looking at must be the Krajkovici by Trebinje as on the WWI draft card i found for Tomo Kurilich he said he was from Trebinje and then on his sons baptism record it says krajkovici (although I am translating that from a Serbian baptism record written in Serbian?) so do you know if krajkovici was once a more populated place or would it be safe to assume if I found another Kurilich from krajkovici they would likely be related with a population of some 20 people
Do you know how I would go about finding a birth or baptism record from that area from 1889/1890?

I don't know about the relationship of people with this name.

Krajkovici appears to have had about 7 houses in 1910, as per the Austrian Military map, which you can find below. No church is indicated in Krajkovici, but there are churches indicated at nearby Djedici, Prosjek and Hum.

The LDS does not have many Orthodox Church films from that region. Perhaps you can find some info by posting to the Serbia based group below

Also thanks for the map; it is very helpful. I have been looking for such a map to try to get my bearings as I am researching this family. It does help to have a map from the time period.

My family is Kurilich and I'm descendant of that Tomo you are writing about. That Tomo had a grandson who is my grandfather. I'm not sure what are you actually interested in about my family and I would appreciate if you can clarify your interest so I could help you more. And I'm experiencing some problems with private messages because I'm not subscribed to this page. Can you leave your e-mail address so I can contact you there?

You wrote about the village Krajkovici. That is near Trebinje, 19 km away from it and 24km away from Dubrovnik.

Greetings!
