I was wondering if anyone knows how to get some information about a cemetery called White Beach Cemetery on Tulagi Island Solomon Islands. This sounds weird but my Great Uncles were killed 30 Nov 1942 in a torpedo battle during WWII and one of them was buried there until 1949 when they took the remains to be buried in Hawaii. I am putting together a little tribute book about him and his brother who is MIA in the same battle. I cannot find any history information or pictures etc. of the cemetery to include in my tribute book. Do not need much just some website or somewhere to obtain some basic history and maybe just a general photo. Thanks

Jennifer, I suggest you look at this website
http://www.peak.org/~skinncr/oneman/onemansview.html
and perhaps contact the author. He may be able to help you in some way, but his story should give you a better knowledge of what happened there.
Christine
