Seekings & Deakins - Need some help please

Surnames: Seekings Deakins
I have been doing research on the Orma Seekings family and have been trying to find more data on his wife Mable (Barber) Deakins. I did find their marriage record dated Nov. 27, 1971. It lists her parents as Orange Barber & Ann Pickett. The witnesses were John C. Deakins and Mrs. M.(Milton) M. Rector.
When I looked up Orange & Ann Barber the census records marked them as having no children. There was never a daughter Mable living with them that I could find. So I gathered she must be a Deakins rather than a Barber.
I did find in the 1900 census John C. Deakins in Stockton with his wife Maggie, son Frank & daughter Mable. I couls not find any other record of this family. I did find another John Deakin but it isn't the same family.
What happened to John, Maggie, Frank & Mable after 1900? I am hoping that someone can find them after this (as well as before). I am trying to trace Mabel's line.
Thank you.

I have found a bit more information. Maggie died in 1902 along with a son Earl born in 1901. They are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Stockton.
In Centralia Cemetery it is listed that John (died 6/23/1943) was married to Bessie Anderson (died 1/7/1938). Buried with them is a son Deloy A. who dies 7/12/1932.

Thank you for all this information. It certainly clears things up a bit.
What is a Boolean search & how do you use it? It sure sounds helpful!

yes, it is a great website, fultonhistory- and he is adding more all of the time- i saw lots more on the people u are researching. boolean search hunts for words that are however many words apart that u choose. eg. u are hunting joseph smith, and u use exact seach. u have now missed all the places where he is called joseph ray smith, all the places he is referred to as smith, joseph, etc. where as, if u click on boolesn search and put joseph w/1 smith, any time those 2 words are 1 word apart from each other, it will find it. so smith, or joseph smith w/20 stockton will get u all the places that those words are 20 words apart from each other. searching historical newspapers takes time and patience, and often turns up a lot of stuff u cant use- but the optical search engine gets confused by the wrinkles, ink blobs, mis-set t y p e - then there is the creative spelling of our ancestors names- no credit cards, drivers license, soc sec- spell your name however u want, call yourself " j r" everyone reading the paper knew who u were anyway. time consuming, but oh, SO worth it! have fun!

Does anyone know who Maggie was? I am wondering if I can find data on her at the Barker Museum. If no one has a reply, I will go there to see what (if anything) I may find.
