Looking for the parent's of my GGgrandfather Albert C.
Lashure- Lesure, Enlisted in NY Civil War, Jamestown 1861.
He was killed in West Va, 25Aug1864.
In 1860, He lived in Poland, with wife Rosetta and 3 children. He was born 1832-1834, some listed him as son of George and Isabel Lesher. They were quite old for that, maybe a nephew? He was listed as French, in children's
death certificates?
thanks for any info
Laura

I checked the 1860 census & found Albert Sure age 22- Day laborer with wife- Rozetta M. age 22. They had the following children: Emma S. age 6, Frank H. age 6 and May age 3. Also living with them is Elizabeth Springer age 60. She was most likely the mother of Rosetta.
This family was found in Poland and all were born in N.Y.

Thank you for your reply. I have seen the census, I have looked for Elizabeth, high and low. I know Rosetta's mom was Sarah Silliman married to Ransom Silliman. So my best bet is that Elizabeth connected to him.I'll keep looking thanks for input.

I checked the 1850 census & couldn't find Albert or any Springer's. Sorry I couldn't find more for you.
