Hi,
I am the grandaughter of Maybelle (Drummond) Myers. Her parents were EB Drummond and Mary Drummond from the Pineywoods Community located in Walker County, Al. EB & Mary Drummond are buried in the Drummond Cemetary in Walker County. Most of my older relatives have passed away, including my grandparents, my mother and all of her siblings except for two. They cannot remember any of our relatives info. I had to really dig today just to get the names of my great grandparents. I'm working on a family tree for the Drummond & Myers side. It would be great if you had any info. I appreciate your help.

Jenny, I may have some info that you would enjoy. I have Maybelle Drummond as the daughter of Mary Jane Wilson and William Ephraim/Buddy Drummond. I have her born May 6, 1901 Died April 23, 1979. I have no descendant information on her and didnt know who she married. I have a list of her brothers and sisters and info on her parents who are my Great Great Grandparents...Thomas M. Drummond and Rachel Evans Drummond. I still have lots to learn but would be delighted to help if I can.

Hi Jenny, Yes Thomas Madison Drummond and Rachel Evans Drummond are the parents of William Ephraim/Buddy Drummond and he was married to Mary Jane Wilson. Would love to hear more about Maybelle and who she married and list of their children.

i really appreciate the info you gave me! you have been most helpful! grandma, (maybelle) married tom myers,(i'm also researching his lineage) i'll try to get all the dates for you (birth, marriage, death). their children were, ivie, ruthie, ruby, elvie, virgil, thomas, vera & elvie. vera was my mother, she died in a car accident in 1968 she married my father franklin o.d. reed they had 5 children, pamela, perry,michael, mark and me. my real name is jennifer margaret reed (lawson). all of mother's siblings have passed away except for thomas (he is a preacher approx. 71 yrs. old now), joelle ( she is probably about 68 yrs old, just found out today that she has breast cancer) please remember her in your prayers. and we aren't for sure about ruthie, she lives in michigan with her grandchildren she has alzheimers the last we all heard, but she hasn't been to alabama since about 1966. i'll try to list each person w/spouse and children's names the best i can.
elvie married jr. lynn had 2 children lamar and wanda sue, lamar is the only one living. ruthie married james shoemaker from detroit mi. had 2 children i can't remember their names, i'll email them to you later, they are both deceased as is her husband james. ruby married joe smith they never had any children. she was my favorite, i miss her and uncle joe very much! elvie married a.l. moore had 4 children, f.j., wayne, sheila & jackie, they divorced she remarried someone by the last name of butts.virgil married marybelle (yates) they had 4 children tommie sue, patricia, billy joe & mary ann, marybelle just passed away a few years ago (cancer), thomas married gaynelle they had 4 children, theresa, dewight, danny & janet, they are all still living. joelle married a.c. brooks they had 4 children, phillip (died of cancer in 1986), roger, debra & steve. joelle and a.c. divorced, she remarried to hubert payne. i've already listed mother and all of us. i hope this has been helpful, please let me know if you have anymore info.

just got your email. franklin o.d. reed was my dad (everyone called him o.d. my mother was vera margaret (myers) reed she is buried just a few feet away from my dad. she was killed in a car accident when i was three. my dad remarried, mary ann (mcclendon) reed. ann wouldn't let us bury dad beside mother. the raymond lynn reed that you inquired about is ronald lynn reed, he was my 1st cousin. his dad orbin reed was my dad's brother. deo & bearthel reed were my dad's parents, deo dyer reed was his infant brother, he only lived 8 hours after birth. yes a.l & elvia moore has a son buried @ new hope, albert moore III. elvia is buried @ hunter's chapel holy church of christ (on the whitehouse road). i.v. (myers) lynn was mother's sister. how are you related to the lynn's?
also, was your maiden name speegle? it was good to hear from you, please let me know if i can help.

Thank you for the help. I have put together a book of the Pineywoods Area Cemeteries. I have put who the parents are when I can. I update the book often so when someone buys one it is up to date. I print them out as needed.
I was a Speegle and my grandparents where Audrey Lynn & Travis Gosa.
