Looking for Tennessee records for 1832 - 1860. I'm looking for Elizabeth Henry born 1783 in Ireland; died 1860/1870 in Memphis, Tennessee.

There is no record of her dieing in Shelby county. A very good online database is here:
http://register.shelby.tn.us/

Joseph Henry seems to have left Shelby county between 1860 and 1880. I can't find him in 1870. She could have died elsewhere.

You could call Elmwood and Calvary Cemetery to see if she's in their records. Calvary is the catholic cemetery, but there are many catholics in Elmwood and it's older. There are also funeral home records at the main Memphis library.

I found Joseph Henry and his family at: 1870 U.S. Census (http://search.ancestry.com/iexec?htx=View&r=an&dbid=...)

I'm trying to find Joseph's father and the name of the town in Ireland that he came from. Can anyone give me a suggestion? I would like to check "Coffin Ships" coming into Canada from Ireland in 1864 or 1865. Can anyone tell me how to do that?
