Broome Republican for 1828-1835. There are 8 hits for the name Charles B. Johnson if you do a Boolean search using the search term:

Johnson Most are lists of names of people who have letters in the Post Office awaiting pickup. A couple are legal notices about land lawsuits. In one it says that the village of Binghamton is in the town of Chenango. So the Charles B. Johnson who was in Chenango in 1830 could very well have been living in the village of Binghamton.
