Aaron: Yes,
Habersham IS in
Campbell Co., TN. I checked my cemetery book and unfortunately the James
Wilburn listed had no dates on his stone. The directions listed in the book are:
Hall cemetery is located off of Stinking
Creek Road: From I-75 Exit, 1st Road to left after Stinking
Creek School House.
Could you give me more information? I.E. names of his children? Rough dates of when he was born?
The reason I ask is you didn't give enough info--for instance there are two James Wilburns listed in the 1920
Campbell Census: one is 41 and listed as James F. and the other is 32 and listed as James T. If your James is a relatively recent James, I couldn't tell ya which one.
Also (to muddy the waters here) there was a James
Wilburn who had married
Lucinda Bolton Feb 3, 1859. He had served in Co. F of the 6th Tenn Infantry and
Lucinda had applied for a Civil War pension in June 7,1892 as a widow (certificate app #552088/345820) which means he had died sometime before 1892 and in that case there will not be either a death certificate or an obit (unless his death was a tragic murder or something of that nature). Lucinda was buried in
Lowe II Cemetery (off of Stinking
Creek Road) and she died Nov. 29, 1908. Her husband James
Wilburn (of Co. F 6 TN Inf) is also buried there but with only the name of his civil war regiment and no dates. At the TSLA site they had:
Wilburn Lucinda Campbell 1908 #4594
So if this is your gg-grandmother you can send for a xerox of her certificate from the
Cleveland Library.
Tennessee didn't consistently require death certificates until after 1914 and even then some either didn't survive the record keeping or were never filed by the funeral home. TSLA has a few from before 1914 and I have the other books but I checked and didn't see a James A. Wilburn or an Alexander
Wilburn.
Hope this info helps!
