I need help with the translation on a birth record for Petter Alexander Jonasson born Aug 1765, in Skatelov, Kronoberg, Sweden, GID# 814.22.57600 page 229, image number 119, years 1747-1816. Could some one please tell me who is parents are?

These are "real" family surnames, not patronymica. (Like you are not Foxdaughter)

Read this interesting and informative article by Ingela Martenius which tells about Swedish naming customs. (Surnames such as Bergren or Wikström are not patronymic last names. It is patromymic last names which end with son or dotter.)
