Looking for information if Margaret Elliott from Ionia MI or Sunfield, MI still living. Checked Social Security Index and there's two listed for Ionia who deceased in 1999 and 1995. Don't have her DOB or spouse name. Margaret wrote about family history including the Michael, Gower,Harris, and Coppess family. I'm trying to contact her if still living or her family.

I don't know whether she is still living. If this is the same person, my guess would be no. I have several letters from her to my great aunt. The address of the letters is sunfield. There is a book in the state library written by a margaret elliot about the paquin family. Don't know if that is helpful. I am apparently related to her through marriage with the Chamberlain/Sherwood families.

Thanks for responding. No, she isn't living. I corresponded with her son last summer but nothing new on the Michael family.
Does your letter mention any Michael ties? If you don't mind could you see what names are in the letter. Those names don't sound familiar so it's probably not from the Michael side or their families. Do you have a picture of Margaret? She wrote a family history book and it's at Garst Musuem in Greenville, OH.

I have at least 4 letters from her, and I'll look through them more thoroughly later, but from the letter that has a list, here it is: John Bennett, Pardon Worden, Stephen Aldrich, Lowery. They are all from Berlin Twp., Mi.
Did you happen to catch when she passed? I wonder because I'd like to find her info on Chamberlains if there is any that I don't already have. I suspect she gave most of it ot my great aunt. Thanks, best wishes on your search.

From the Ionia Community Library, her obit states she was 86 yrs, old and died November 10, 1999. Buried in Sunfield Cemetery. Married (1) George Coppess (2) Ray Elliott. If you send me your direct e-mail I can send you the obit. Looks like there is info at the library on the Chamberlain Family and numerous other families and family histories, etc. (Early Berlin Twp. Families). Perhaps your Great Aunt has some photos or info??
