Hi Bob,
I think that I have some information for you but first I must say that Eileen did some awsome research for you regarding Zebulon and the Joubert family name. If in 2009 I still have to spell my family name(Joubert) when I am asked to identify myself can you imagine all the little mistakes that have been made throught the years when people are writing family names for other individuals that don't know how to write, spell and read. I was asked again today to spell my name for someone.
I would like to hear from you where you came across Joseph and Claire's name. I have a fair amount of Canadian information on the Joubert family name. Especially the ones that lived in the province of Québec. Joseph and Claire Mailloux are in my database with their kids. One of Joseph's children is Eusèbe born in 1818 and he married Louise-Stéphanie Robillard. In the parish record book she signed her name as "Fanny Robillard". It says that Eusèbe is a business man of Glenn Falls. Interesting eh!! I loose track of both Eusebe and Edouard after those entries in the parish register. Since there was more work in the State than in Quebec around that time it makes sense that they would have gone to the State to work. They lived beside the Richelieu river that connects to Lake Champlain that brings you to New York so it should have been pretty easy for them to work their way down to Glenn Falls.
Here is my e-mail address in case that you are interested in exchanging information. I have a copy of their marriage registry at the parish.
