LECHAIX
I am trying to find out if my gr gr grandfather Joseph Lechaix died at sea. He was a merchant seaman and was last seen in Honolulu arriving on the William P Frye in August 1906. The ship then sailed from Honolulu on 20 September heading for Delaware Breakwater arriving March 19 1907. Sometime between August 1906 and 5 November 1906 he died as his daughter has registered him deceased on her marriage certificate. Does anybody know where I might get information on the crew lists or ships log, or where I might find his death registered?

Hi
Thank you for your reply. No I haven't tried them yet. I've struggled to track him down in general so I appreciate any suggestions.
Many thanks
