Bastille Nord, Paris, 1944?

My American cousin will be going to France in May, hoping to retrace some of the steps of his service in WWII.

He remembers spending a night, in 1944, in Paris, in a prison that was being run by U.S. military personnel. He had entered seeking medical attention, and wound up spending time among German prisoners. He believes the prison was known as "Bastille Nord" or "Bastille du Nord."

Does anyone have information on where this prison actually stood in Paris? Thank you.

Bernard is pictured in the Class 30 yearbook of the Medical Replacement Training Center at Camp Barkeley near Abilene, Texas. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the BRISSMAN family.
