Billsbro is a village in Västra Vingåker parish, Södermanland county, but I don't see Per Erik's birth in September 1817 in GID 142.10.1000, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, CI.7, Births, 1810-1829, page 59, Image 10.

One possibility is Per Eric born 2 Sep 1817, parents Eric Carlsson and Kaisa Hofström of Lilla Kulltorp.

Another possibility is Pehr Eric born 9 Jan 1817, parents assistant smith Clas Österberg and wife Brita Pehrsdotter of Spånga Bruk, GID 142.10.500, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, CI.7, Births, 1810-1829, page 54, Image 5.

Clas Österberg and family move 1821 to Billsbro, GID 142.89.93700, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, AI.7C, Household examination, 1813-1822, page 114, Image 123.

-----

Skärblacka is a place in Kullerstad parish, Östergötland county.

Catharina Charlotta's birth is recorded 14 Sep 1820, parents nail-smith Carl Eric Norberg and wife Brita Andersdotter of Skärblacka, GID 323.16.85400, [Östergötland] Kullerstad, C.3, Births,Marriages,Deaths, 1799-1854, page 141, Image 66.

Thank you, Bo. I have listed as Per Erik's parents: Erik Bill (b. 1785, d. 1848 at Norra Martenstugan, Backstuga) and Anna Stina Persdotter (b. 04 May 1794, d. 11 Apr 1858 at Norra Martenstuga, Backstuga). This info came from another family tree I found, so is not verified.

Catharina Charlotta's information you found corresponds with my records!

That address "Norra Martenstugan, Backstuga" looks like it is a cottage ("backstuga") named "Norra Martenstugan" (north "Marten" cottage).

But the important part of the address is missing: what is the parish?

But the Billsbro was a clue, there is a cottage Norra Mårtenstugan under Billsbro in Västra Vingåker parish.

Your people are not found there, but on the next page at the Mellangård's soldier cottage, GID 142.89.94900, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, AI.7C, Household examination, 1813-1822, page 126, Image 135:

- soldier Erik Bill, born 1785 Asker(?), came 1807 from Ragna(??).
- wife Anna Stina Pehrsdotter, born 1794-05-07 Gällersta, came 1815 from Stengården.
- son Pehr Eric, born 1817-09-12 Västra Vingåker.
- daughter Sofia Carolina, born 1820-10-18 Västra Vingåker.

There must be some error about Pehr Eric's birth, either he is missing in the birth record, or the date is wrong, or he was born in another parish.

Then in the next HFL with two more children in GID 142.55.5900, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, AI.8D, Household examination, 1823-1828, page 368, Image 59.

If Per Eric's father was soldier Erik Bill, how would be get the surname "Bergstrom"? Is there a connection between the surname "Bill" and the village "Billsbro"? Have you heard of the place "Asker" or Ragna"? Sorry for all the questions!!! and thank you for all your help!

This early, children very often did not use their father's soldier name as an inherited family name.

It was common to take a non-patronymic surname when becoming a craftsman, and perhaps Per Eric took the name Bergström when he became a shoemaker. Or just because he wanted to have a non-patronymic surname...

The soldier name Bill, was very probably inspired by the village name.

"Asker" might be Asker parish in Örebro county. Or perhaps Askeryd in Östergötland or Askersund in Örebro county.

I don't know what "Ragna" could be, in the 1805-1813 HFL it looks more like "Regna", GID 142.86.4400, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, AI.6B, Household examination, 1805-1813, page 90, Image 44.

Also more like "Regna" in the moving-in records where he is number 19 of 1807, GID 142.83.63900, [Södermanland] Västra Vingåker, AI.5B, Moving in, 1803-1808, page 441, Image 462.

There is a Regna parish in Östergötland.
