Hi I live about 6 miles from the cemetery. I checked the phone book and they are not listed. One suggestion is to call a church or funeral home to find if they have contact information for the cemetery.

Is this a very large cemetery? I'm planning on visiting to find a couple of graves. How much time should I set aside to read the headstones until I happen upon those I seek?
Thanks!

Mount Bethel is pretty big, I think the size of several square city blocks. I have been trying to reach someone there to get information for a while. The number is 717-684-7265. Unfortunately, the phone just rings when I try to call. There seems to be no answering service. If anyone gets through to somebody there, please find out when they have office hours and post them here. I'll do the same.

Regards,
Steve

Thanks for the offer Keyagirl! I'm looking for Smiths, Elslagers, Poffs, Kuhns, Warfels, and Hoffners.

I was out at Mount Bethel this weekend to judge how difficult it might be to find an individual grave. It's big. But fortunately most of the stones are still legible. I probably covered about 20% of the cemetery in an hour and a half of walking. Someone better prepared might cover it in a day, but it would be a long day.

I've photographed the whole thing, 4929 photos they are on billiongraves. I'm not sure if they are all transcribed. If you are going to visit look up the grave on billin graves it will be pinpointed. Warning the GPS was not working right on one of the sections east middle, so you may have to look around that section.

Hope this helps,
Wayne
