I am searching for a gravesite for a family member that has no headstone or marker. I have the death certificate that states the burial was in Dunnstown Cemetery in Lock Haven, PA. While visiting there last year I was told she was buried there with no marker & also viewed the books at the library to see if she was listed in them but no luck. I was limited on time also. I called the person listed in the library books that kept records for this cemetery but they had no listing as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to find out where our family member is buried? We are wanting to put a stone on her grave. I was also told to check with undertaker but when given the name on the DC, I was told he was no longer in business. The undertaker listed on the DC looks to be VE Brown in Lock Haven. Would any know how I could find out who might have his records or a contact address, phone # or email? Thanks in advance for any info.

Surnames: Seyler , Seylor
The person we are looking for is
Goldie Ruth Seyler (Seylor)
D - Jan 26, 1934
Burial - Jan 29, 1934 Dunnstown Cemetery
Undertaker - VE(?) Brown Lock aven, PA

We were told by a family person that she was buried in a plot owned by her SIL's husband's family named Morgret. We have spoken with the caretaker of the cemetery records & they have nothing on file. We live in Georgia & therefore are unable to research any family members on the Morgret side that might know anything about it. I would appreciate any help you could offer. Thank you for responding.

As for the Brown Funeral Home:
John E. Brown was the funeral director, when he died his brother-in-law took over for a few years, but going into WWII, assistants were hard to find, so the widow of JE Brown (Helen) closed the funeral home back in 1942. It then hosted the USO, later became apartments and then became the Kappa Delta Rho frat house.
Now as for the Dunnstown cemetery:
The actual maintenance of the cemetery grounds is vested in this volunteer cemetery association, which operates on the interest from a perpetual care fund which was created by contacting lot owners in the 1960s and 1970s. At that time, all lot owners were identified on a card system and all known burials were recorded at that time, and have been updated since then on the cards. No prior records of interments are known to exist. The present secretary of the cemetery association is Mrs. Nancy Aurand, and she has graciously and tirelessly spent over 20 hours with CCGS to produce the most accurate record of burials possible for this cemetery.

Now, if I am remembering right, Mrs. Aurand is getting up in years, so I am not sure if it would be better to call or to write to her???

The other contact you could make would be the Heisey Museum which is also the Clinton Co. Historical Society's home.
(open Tues., Wed., Thur. - 9 am to 4 pm)

Also I have found the death notices in the Express for her, but they are in PDF format so I cannot attach them on the message board. If you would like a copy, email me direct at kjfogge@hotmail.com and include in subject line 'Seylor death notice'.

Also if the persons I have listed do not have anything further, let me know, I go down to Lock Haven about every 2 months to see family that are still there and will do what I can.
