Fakelman is a Sanktmartin name, and I remember finding a link with my family at some point, although I don't remember exactly what it was now. I will have to look it up in my records. There are several Fakelmans from Sanktmartin in the Ellis Island passenger lists, you might find something there. Marty

Hello,
I am researching my husband's family. What we know is that his Great Grandfather John Joe Fackelman, came from somewhere in Romania according to the Cuyahoga County, Ohio 1930's census. He came to America in 1900 (?) at the age of 19. He married a Tersa Kornoker (pronouced cornknocker) who was also from Romania. He came here and moved to PA and worked in a mine, then after a very very short time moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area. They had 7 children: John Fackelman b. 8/20/1913 (my husbands grandfather) Joe Martin Teresa Rose Virgina F. Mary
Any information you have would be helpful.
Thank you.. Kim

Kim, Are you still researching this? My grandmother is (was) Veronica Fackelman; she is not listed but these are her siblings. I'd love to look into more of this!
