I have a female named Eddy/Eddie BEASLEY, age 10, who appears on the 1870 census in Union Parish, LA. Head of the household is John B. WRIGHT and his wife Jane. Thornton BAGWELL, age 35, and Catherine BAGWELL, age 30, with daughter Sarah, age 3 months, is also living with this family. Both Thornton and Catherine were born in Alabama. Do you have any info on Eddy BEASLEY that could identify her parents. I suspect that Eddy is a daughter of Catherine BAGWELL from a previous relationship. Do you have any info that could help me?

I have enjoyed your site in the past. My husband and I were in the Farmerville area this weekend with friends but we were not able to see the Autrey home. I am interested in finding it because on the 1870 census, my husband's ggggrandfather Clinton C. Richards and wife Janie Fuller Richards are listed as neighbors of Absolum and next door to Thomas J. Autrey. Is the home that was preserved possibly the same home they lived in in 1870 in Ward 4? Where is it located now if not? Thanks for the help and info
M Stansell Richards
