Born January 16, 1904. Died 14 October 1941. All in Kansas. Mother Cora. Siblings Theodore J., Hazel A., Ida,
Celia F., Archie B. Some of the children were born in Nebraska. Mother is said to have been born in Indiana. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1930 Census shows Chester Mapel in Mankato, Jewell Co., KS. Assuming he was still residing there at time of his death in 1941, suggest you check for newspaper obit and death certificate; these may give his parents full names.

Also, birth states of children in 1920 census suggest family removed from KS to NE between 1907 and 1909, last child b. ca. 1912, NE. Suggest check for death record of men surnamed Mapel between 1912 and 1920, beginning with Jefferson Co., NE.
