My husbands Great Grandfather name was Sebastian Caliendo who was born in Marigliano, Italy. He was born 1863. He died 1929 in Matawan, New Jersey in the USA. He was married to Rosa Ragosta. She was born also in Marigliano, Italy abt 1864. They immigrated abt 1906 in New York. We know that Sebastian had a brother in Marigliano, Italy. Could you be related to Sebastian Caliendo? Rosa Ragosta and Sebastian had three children. Maria Cristina, Madeline and Antonette. Would like to exchange information about the Caliendo's.

my grandfathers name on my moms birth certifacate was nicola caliendo,his wife was alfonsina merito,they were both from naples italyhis yr of birth was around 1872he died at 82 in 1954 i believe i told you all of this they may have been married in the usa i m not sure she died in 1952 and may have been born in 1890,they had9 children louis,micheal,joesph,frank mary,madiliene,emily,annmy mom beatrice,i have none of there death recs. or birth recs nor marriage certificate and would not know how to obtain them,i m not even sure who there brothers and sisters were my grandmother was adopted so i figure it would be easier to search for my grandfather he was know here in the states as nicholas caliendo and she as francis caliendo,they lived in jamacia new york but he went back and forth to italy i am sure he has relatives in naples italy i keep putting his name into the computer but my efforts never bring any results if you can help with any further info or i can give youany info i have missed please get intouch with me as soon as possible i would like so to know more about them for my family tree thank you for your time sincerely michele cohen

In Marigliano there are actually many Sebastiano because Saint Sebastiano is venerated and is the patrone saint.
