Henry Sturm was b late 1700's in Va. His father was possibly a Jacob. Henry had children including Mathias, Nicholas, Henry, Lewis, & others. They lived in Ky. a short time before moving to Oh. Need Henry's ancestors & wife.

Please show dates in Ind. our Lewis may have
possibly been a great grandfather. He was
living in 1836 in Stark co. Ill.
The Sturm family in Ill. was large and I
know that some of them moved into Ind.

Judge Noble K. Littell, 1219 Kat-Ca-Lani Avenue, Sebring, Fl 33870 published a history of the Sturm/Storm family in 1990.
There are several Henry Sturm or Storms. Johan Peter Storm had a son born in VA in 1796. Nicholas Storm/Sturm had a son Henry born in Cumberland, Md.January 3, 1795 and died in Barour Co., WV January 15, 1872.
Nicholas was the son of John Jacob Sturm (son of Johann Jacob Sturm and Anna Benedictina Sauer. John Jacob Storm was died in WV, Randolph or Barbour Co.

But I do know that my Grandfather Emil Lewis Sturm was born in 1884. Right now i'm not sure of the month. Will know soon.

Do you know any Sturms b in late 1700s by the
given name of Mathias? I know he had a brother
Henry and Nicholas and am sure they are related
to the sturms you mentioned. We show them living
in Va. and Ky. before moving to Ohio in early
1800s.

My 6th-g grandfather was Johann Jacob Sturm, Sr. who married Anna Maria Benedictine Sauer and who had a son Johann Jacob, Jr. who marr.
Anna M. DELLINGER on 13-Feb-1750 in Middle-
town, Frederick, MD, died after 1800 in Frederick, MD, according to my data. I'd be interested in any info on Jr. and Anna Dellinger, especially if he died in WV and I am wrong about MD. Please help!! Dale W.

Hi, my name is Annette Foster and if my info is correct my husband is a 5th great grandson of Johan Jacob Sturm, Jr. who was born 11-27-1730 in PA (according to Family History Library AFN 83J5-86), and died abt 1805 in Frederick, Maryland. I have info from the Family History Library on their son Nicholas, his son Jacob, and his son Martin Van Buren. Martin's son was Samuel H. Sturm who came to Bartlesville, OK during the oil boom after the turn of the century as a teamster. Sam's youngest son just died, but he still has a grandson and granddaughter still alive.
