Joanna,

Sorry about that. I don't have much information on Angela Puk nor her husband. I do have photos of them, but as of now, things are really really sketchy. They were my great grandparents and came to the US in 1906, already married with a last name of Prohaska (or Prohaski), but for the life of me I can't find them in any immigration list, no matter how many crazy spellings of Prohaska I come up with. Nor do they appear in the 1910 or 1920 Census in CT, when I know for sure they were here. I did find them in the 1930 Census and that's how I came up with the 1906 immigration date.

Anyway, Angela was also known as Mary or Anielia. I just have that she was born in Poland 11 Sept 1883, married Andrew Prohaski sometime prior to coming to the US. She had a son in Poland named Walter, just before coming to the US. She died in New Haven, CT 18 Jun 1962.

I know that she and her husband spoke Polish and she more or less only spoke Polish, very little English. And she was Catholic.

Her death certificate unfortunately just said Poland for birth and had her parents listed as John and Anna Puk (But I've seen it spelled Puc, pronounced "pook").

I wish I could provide more information. I am trying to track down members of the family to chat with, but havent received much information at the moment.

Chris
