A tombstone seen in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny county, PA, unknown section:

Markus NIGGEL, Sep 15, 1875 - Apr 27, 1908

Could this be the Marcum Niggel you mention in your query?
The birth years are the same.
I have no other info as it is not my line.

In process of researching church records from Trillfingen for Stehle ancestors. To date, can trace Anton Stehle marriage to Magdalena Beutter/Beitter/Beutner Nov. 26, 1792. Anton came to the U.S. (Ohio) with his son, Menradus, in 1833 and died in the U.S. but we can't find where he was born. Anton and Magdalena Stehle had the following children in Trillfingen:
1793 Nicolaus
1795 Menradus
1797 Vincentius- went to Halbturn, Hungary and married there 1829
1798 jacobus-died 1820 in Trillfingen
1800 Melchior
a few children died as babies in these years
1806 Christiana
If anyone else recognizes any of these as belonging to their families or if they would like to share insight into navigating through these church records, please contact me.
