My part of the Choquette's were born raised in Lawrence Lowell Mass. My grandfather was Albert B. He had a brother Leon who spent most of his adult life in Helena Montana. I have a sister Elenore in Mass. and I reside in Colorado There were some Choquettes from Fall River Mass. and some from florida. There was a Paul Choquette from Rhode Island but we never met. Not much to go on but if this helps please get back to me.

My mother was born in New Rochelle NY 8-11-1919, but ? CHOQUETTE and my grandmother split up shortly after, she moved back to MA with my mother.
Grandfather CHOQUETTE had family in/around NYC, they were Circus performers and traveled a lot. In 1947 I remember meeting a woman in NY who was most likely my GGrandmother, her name was Lilly and she lived with her son and daughter-in-law, his name might have been Hubert.

Was he the son of Annie (Richards) and Elzear Choquette? Eleazar (b. Mar-1862) also lived in the Lowell area, although born in Canada according to the marraige certificate and emigrated to US and was naturalized in 1870. He and Annie moved to New Bedford, MA and had 10 or 11 children. He, Leon, was a Judge in Montana. You can contact me by email if you wish.

Leon was my father's( Joseph A Choquette) uncle
he was my grandfather's ( Albert B Choquette)
brother. I traveled to Helena Montana in the spring of 1996
to try and gather some info on Leons family.
most of whom have moved out of state. To my knowledge Leon
worked for the state of Mont. but I don't believe he was a judge.
According to records I found he had something to do with state
land purchases.Are we related in any way?

I don't know if we are related yet. I have two lines for Choquette, one which I already mentioned (Maternal) and the other would be my deceased Father-in-law's family. I have not completed enough research to confirm any relationship. The family from New Bedford, MA was my mothers cousins, a large family of 6 or more children. One daughter, Ruby remains forever in my uncles mind as he fell for her, hard, and he father put a stop to any relationship. they were second cousins.

I have a relative by marriage named Arthur Choquette..lived in Fall River,MA he was maried to Albina (Madore) Choquette. who died in 1996..her sisters were Pauline(Madore) don't know married name, and my Grandmother, Camilla (Madore) Rousseau m. Philip Arthur Rousseau
