The ESLINGER's I'm looking for lived in Griggs, Ok. Cimarron County) at least up to Jan. 1917 (William's death). Dicy, Hattie, Cora and her son (my Dad) Harold Lloyd Zinn were listed in the 1920 Census in Texas County...living in Guymon, OK. I'm also looking for a Frank ZINN, possibly in Texas or Cimarron County. Thanks for any light you can shed on any of this.
I am related to the Eslinger Family (John, William and Westley) moved to Griggs sometime around 1910. I am related directly to William (Great-Grandfather) and his daughter, Cora (Grandmother). My Dad was Cora's son, but was adopted by the Henry and Carrie Bewley. I have talked to a couple of Eslinger Grandchildren, but can't find out much. I know the "Greats" are buried in Marella Cemetary. Are there any leads you can think of that might lead me to some new knowledge. I live south of Flint, Michigan, so it's a bit far for a weekend trip, but perhaps a vacation might be possible sometime. Thanks for any clues.... Rex Bewley

Rex, I see that this is quite an old post, but you might still be out there. I am Hattie Eslinger's grandson. She died in 1970. Possibly I can get you some of the information you need.

Hi Guy; Several years ago I wrote and received a letter from your Mother, Margaret Slack) at least, I believe it was your Mother. I think at the time she was living in Creede CO. I just happened to look at that old site and saw your name...funny it would be back in November. I check on it every now and then. I have moved and changed E-Mail a couple times since then. I haven't had the Ancestry site for a few years and still haven't found Harold Lloyd Zinn's birthplace or certificate. I've also never seen pictures of Cora, though I have of Milos, Maxine, Lucretia and Hattie. Rex Bewley

I am Lorene Blancet Parker. Westley Edward Eslinger was my grandfather who was married to martha Huskey. They moved to Griggs, Ok around 1910. They had 4 children. Amos, mary Alice, Maggie and Molly. Mary Alice was my mother and she married Robert Blaine Blancet and had five children--Hazel Estell, Billy Edward, Wayne Douglas, Irene Vada and Lorene Ada {myself). My Dad and brother are burried in the Marella cemetery. MY Twin and I were born in 1929 in Griggs, OK . I Can remember when I was about 8 or nine Aunt Dicy walking across the field to visit Grandpa and grandma when they moved to Texhoma. I don't know what happened to her. My mother mentioned Hattie also. I was young at that time then moved away so I don't know what happened to them. I knw that grandpa westley had a brother John who also moved to Cimmeron County . He must have died fairly young because I don't remember ever seeing him. There is A Ray eslinger who lives in Cimmeron County and does a lot of research on the Eslinger family. I don't have his Address but will try to locate him. He ran for Commisioner about 4 years ago but was defeated by a few votes. I now live in Blaine Washington with my son Loren Parker, since losing my husband two years ago
