Hello Everyone,
I am looking for information on my Great-Grandfather whom I believe was called Zachariah Baker.
As most people will probably know, Births in Jamaica often have the surname/father's name missing so I am reluctant to search for just any Zachariah without more to go on.
Unfortunately no-one currently alive knew him at all so we dont know when he died.
We do however know that he lived in Westmoreland, I assume near the borders of St. James seeing as thats where everyone else was from, and was a Shoe Maker.
He would have been born at some point in the late 1800's as my Great-Grandmother was born around 1888.
I know it isnt much to go on but any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lucas

Hi Lucas,
Try the
www.jamaicanfamilyresearch.com
website. It has helped me alot in finding information about my great grandfather that lived in westmoreland. There are almanac entries as way back 1800´s.
I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks for that,
I have been on that website a few times but cant seem to get on with it.
Am a bit reluctant to pay for something i'm not confident about.
Appreciate the tip though :)
