Does anyone know where I may purchase a copy of the Adams County history book or centennial book that would have stories of the people in the community?

I am not aware that the 1975-1976 version is for sale anywhere. There is a new history book being printed in conjunction with the Hettinger Centennial occuring July 2007. You can go to their website and check to see if what they are printing will meet your needs. In lieu of that, you might try contacting Patrice Hartman (patrice@ndsupernet.com). She is a local historian and is well versed on what might be available.

I don't have the afore mentioned book, but I collect old newspaers and some of what you want is and will soon be posted on the newspaper abstract web site over the next couple of weeks.
