Hello. I am trying to find some information about my grandfather, Nazzario Godinez. (I hope that I spelled his first name correctly.) He was born somewhere in Mexico. I don't know the town. I think his mother's maiden name was (it's pronounce as "Ah-Vee-Us"). He was 17 yrs old when he left home and went to work on the railroads in 1935?? He had 5 children. I really don't have any other information about him. I was hoping to get some clues. Thanks.

my dad was jesus reynoso gasca from villagran gto.but came from a ranch called ,el rancho de la sandia.also live while he was a kid at el rancho de los gordos,and rancho de los gascas.he still has many reletives in villagran. any info,pls reply. jess reynoso

What i know about the place is that my ancestors Pedro Godinez Alvarez and his wife Maria de la Luz Alvarez Gonzalez had to move to California from La Sandia. My G-Grandfather's name was Francisco Godinez and his wife was Gabriela Reynoso- I believe they wer born in La Sandia as well in the 1860's
I remember stories my grandfather used to tell me that Don Francisco Godinez was a prominent figure in L.S. I believe they were related to the Spaniards who owned La Hacienda de la Sandia. The family had to flee to the US at the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution in in the early 1900's.
My Grandparents had MANY relatives in La Sandia who carried the Godinez, Reynoso, Alvarez and Gonzalez surnames.

I hope I can find some relatives on my moms side. She was born in La Sandia in 1909. Her fathers name was Augustine Godinez and her mother was Isabel Gonzales. Her grandmother was Carmen Torres and her grandfather was Nazario Gonzales. I hope you can help me.
