Searching for gravesites of my Paternal ancestors: William BRADFORD d.24 MAR 1811 in Palmyra; wife Hannah Parker BRADFORD d. 16 FEB 1832 in St. Albans; son George BRADFORD d. after 1870 in Newport (?); his wife Susan/Sarah Miles BRADFORD no info; their son George S. BRADFORD d. 2 SEP 1906 Newport; his wife Clara Davis BRADFORD d after 1898 Newport.

Am planning trip to Maine and would like to visit and photograph their graves for my genealogy records.

William I have not come across in the Palmyra/ St. Albans area. Years ago I Was into the list of Revolutionary burials and came across a Capt. William Bradford Buried in Brownville Me. Hannah name was involved Have not found a Grave stone.
George and Susan are Beleive are in Riverside Cemetary Newport Maine. Stones Read
George Died 1-29-1874 age 72 yrs 4 m
Susan Died 7-29-1863 age 63 yr 4 m
Their lot in 3/4 of the way back on main cemetary road and in on side road to the right.
George S. are buried in the same cemetary Approx 1/3 of way of main cemetary road on side road to right
George stone says 3-23-1839 and 9-2-1905

Yes the Lyford cemetary is still accessible Directions:
Leave Newport heading towards Corinna on RT 7 approx 1 1/2Miles take road by Nokomis High School (Williams Road)to Nokomis Road take right to intersection on RT43 go straight thru the road is approx 1/3 mile long the cemetary is on the left. Go thru the gate 1st gate nad straight towards the back of the cemetary the stone is about 2/3rds of the way. Hannah on front Samuel on back.
I am not a decendant of them. My gr-gr-gr grandparents are the other Bradfords buried in this cemetary 2 generations of them.
As I said in other Note I came across a Capt. William buried in Brownville but this appears to be an unmarked grave. The burial list mentioned Wife Hannah. I have walked the Palmyra Cemetary's and never came across a William Bradford.

You asked in the E-Mail if my relation were Decendants of Gamaliel Bradford. Yes Peter Bradford was a Son he had a twin brother. Peter came to the Vassalboro area and eventually settled in the Readfield area. I have not been able to find their graves. The Martin Bradford was their son and Peter A. was a grandson. The next generation is buried in Newport Albert my grandfather and George his brother are in two lots across from the maintenance shop on the other end of the road. Philip, Charles and Bess are Albert's Children. Malcolm and 3 unmarked graves are Philip,s boy,s

Your Martin and my William were 1st cousins, so I guess that makes us "Cousins" of some degree of "removed" status. Both branches had GeorgeS.'s born in 1839 which caused me a bit of confusion early on in my research.
