Does anyone know where I can find birth records prior to 1907 for the Farmer area. I have an Uncle born in 1903, my Mother in 1904, another Uncle in 1906 and an Aunt in 1907.

Hi, I'd contact the Douglas County Clerk, 509-745-8529 and see if they are stored in the Court House.

It's possible they have been turned in to the Washington State Archives.

Also the Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society does research for Chelan and Douglas Counties, www.wags-web.org. Successful Searching.

The phone number provided by JudyArtley (SHOTGUN) is for the COURT Clerk. Unless the birth occured in COURT, there won't be a record for it with the County Clerk. A County Clerk is almost always the COURT clerk.

What you are needing is a BIRTH record, not a COURT Record. For births AFTER 1907, the record would be found at the Washington State Department of Health:

For the record you seek, in 1903, it "may" be still at the County level, for Douglas County, see:

Shotgun, I have sent this information regarding "COURT House" searches several times to your postings. Please note WHO does WHAT in the "COURT House". A County Recorder, County Assessor, County Heath/Vital Records, are not always in the "COURT House".

What are the names you are looking for? The local genealogical society has microfilm of old birth records for Douglas County. Give me the exact names and dates and I will look.

My Grandfather was Leo C. Koenig, my Grandmother Emile (Hartwig) Koenig. Their children were August, Dorothea (my Mother), Eric, Martha, Emma and Paul. They were all born on the homestead in Douglas. If there is any information you can give me on any of the Koenigs or tell me where to go it would be very much appreciated. How do I get in touch with the local genealogical society?
