New Haven- Williams. I am looking for Mae Louise Williams who had a brother only known as J.M.Williams. Mae Louise Williams married Willard Levi Russell in Danbury CT in 1916. I do not know who her parents were or anything beyond her and her brother.

It appears my Williams is NOT related to yours. Mine, too, resided in Wallingford in New Haven County, but Willoughby Williams Sr. orig. came from England and was born abt. 1736. A weaver by trade, he Married Abigail Allings on Jan. 22, 1756 and he died in Wallingford on April 15, 1776. A lot of this info was on WFT #8.

I have a Samuel Williams; B07-mar-1725/26 in Wallingford.
His father was Samuel born abt 1699; married Hannah Hickox.
I think he died or was killed shortly after his son Samuel
was born, as Hannah married twice more. Her other children
were born in the early 1730's. Do these Williams fit in at
all.

I too am interested in these exact families. Anyone with info on this line please email me at above email address. I am particularly interested in finding proof of the connection of Julius Williams and Betsy Todd of Wallingford, CT. Thanks, Lynn

Since I started my question in 1998, I haven't really looked at the message boards. I should have. In 2007 my wife and I spent a week in Wallingford, took pictures of the graves, spent time in the city hall and visited with relatives in Manchester and Farmington. I also sat down with Warren Williams and his wife, Penny. She directed me up a hill in a housing development that overlooked the area where the Williams' farms used to be. Took a long-distance picture or two of Uncle Shelton's place. I used to go there with my grandmother to visit her mother, Alida Williams, who died when I was six or seven years old (1959).

If you're still connected to Ancestry, I'd love to hear from you.
