According to my family tree, James Hickson Skeete AKA Jimmy Skeete born 12-April-1812 in St. Thomas Parish, Barbados, is my great-grandfather. With the information given to me, he had a grandson by the name of Lionel Skeete who traveled to Cuba in 1921. Jimmy Skeete had three children: Johnny Skeete, Elis Skeete and (Johnson Skeete?) Please reply and let me know if this is the same person in question. Awaiting your soonest reply.

I just recently met a family member of mine from Nevis (Harvey Hendrickson) who has been doing geneology research on the Skeete's. I am from Tortola, British Virgin Islands son of Theodore C.E Skeete (previously Charles Walwyn) and Maisie Hendrickson (Herbert) and it is confirmed that James Hinkson-Skeete is my Great-great Grandfather. John 'Johnny' Skeete was James's son and Johnny was married to Maude Lestrop Skeete. Johnny had quite a few children too numerous to mention but the names I recognize in the previous posts. I should specifically mention that one son 'Lionel' did go to Cuba in 1921.
