Lumber camps of Arkansas and Texas

Need information on lumber camps around the time of 1910 to 1916. Looking for father of Horace Woodrow Holbert. We know he played the piano, and worked the lumber camps. Zadie Lee Melton had a child with Mr. Holbert, were they married or what. Zadie worked in the cams also and that is where they met and would not talk about him to anyone. Horace was born May 23, 1916 in Paris, Lamar Co., Tx. ANY help would be appreciated. Please contact me, stover@sna

Thanks a bundle, Judy

I do not know if this is of any help...
There is a book soon to be published titled "The Traveling Timbertowns". If you want, I can let you know when it becomes available to the public. It may give you information that could lead you in the right direction.
