I would like to communicate and exchange information with anyone related to the MOSS family tree. The family name was orginally MASSE and was changed to Moss to Americanize it. My father's name is Lawrence Moss, Sr.> Father Leo James Moss > William Arthur Moss (Masse) > Joseph William Masse.

I would also like to know more about the Yell/Yelle line, Lefebvre, Brossard, Langlois and any others you may connect. I have records back 12th generation.

Thanks!
LaDawn M.

My Great Grandmother was a Masse. Her full name was Malvina Masse. She married Philias Roussin I believe in Ste. Marthe, Vaudreil County, Quebec Canada. Their oldest daughter Pomela Roussin was my Grandmother, who was born approximately in 1878, married my Grandfather Napoleon Lefebvre in Ste. Marthe, Vaudreil County, Quebec Canada in 1896.

I am not sure if this is your family or not, but this is all the information that I have on Masses.

Dean D. Lefebvre

We may or may not be related by the Masse but I would bet we may be related through the Lefebvre family lines. My ggg grandmother was Sophia Lefebvre, b. 1844 and married Joseph Yelle/Yell on October 20, 1862 in Canada.
In the SIxth Generation i have Maxime Lewis Lefebvre who married Sophia "Flavie" BROSSARD 1833.
In the Seventh Generation I have Jean Baptiste LEFEBVRE and he married Marie LANCTOT on 1805 in ST. Constant, Laprairie, QUebec, Cananda.
In the Eighth Generation I have Joseph LEFEBVRE that married Charlotte ROY 1777 in St. Philippe
In the Ningth Generation I have Joseph LEFEBVRE and he married Rosalie PINSONNEAULT. I also haave a Pierre LEFEBVRE and he married Marguerite MOQUIN 1734 in Montreal.
In the Tenth generation I have a Joseph LEFEBVRE married to a Marie TESTARD. I also have a Louise LEFEBVRE who is married to a Pierre ROY. Another is Geoffroy LEFEBVRE and he married Marie Madeleine MICHAEL-MICHAUD in 1704.

I have data on my family tree back 12 generations. DO WE CONNECT IN THE LEFEBVRE? Let me know if we do I would love to share or correct any information that I may have. I also have emailed back and forth to a Bryon Lefebvre family relation in Australia.

SORRY that I was offline so long...my son had my computer at college!

I am researching my daughter's Moss roots. Her gggrandfather is William Moss from Soperton, WI married to Sophia Thompson from Iron River, MI. Maybe also your William? I do not have birth marriage or death dates for them & I am not from the area. Her grandfather had told me when I first started my search that the name's spelling had been changed. Her ggrandfather was Amidee Moss.

I am also trying to find any connection related to the Masse family. My grandfather was Alfred Masse and was married to Simone Biort in the early 1900's. My father was Michel Masse who had 5 other siblings...Terese, Andre, Philippe, Agnes and Francis. They lived in Lille, France. My father was the only one in his family to immigrate to the US in the 1940's. The rest of the family has already perished or is still living in various locations in France. If anyone has any information on the genealogy, I would definitely be interested!
Thanks much!
