I am looking for information on Elmore "Dutch" ROWLAND who lived in Morton, Cochran Co., TX. He was born June 6, 1863 in McMinn Co., TN and died Sept 2, 1920 in Morton, TX. He was married to Bessie Ledford on Mar 31, 1889 in McMinn Co.,TN. They had a son named Floyd F. Rowland. "Dutch" ROWLAND was supposed to have owned a large amount of property and businesses in Morton. Can anyone help me? I would like to know where they are buried?

A correction is needed for Dutch Rowland. He died 2 Sep 1920 and is buried in the Hill Creek Cemetery in Bosque Co., TX.

You should check the 2002 book, Texas' Last Frontier: a New History of Cochran County, by me and David Murrah.
It has a number of references to Floyd Rowland.
