Wes,
I have these brothers listed in books as CASWELL. Do you have the articles from newspapers that are referred to in "Warren Times," by Cheryl Helmers?? If not I will send them to you, I don't have any reference to Courtney.

Hello. I am trying to trace the father of a Daniel Carswell from Bisley in Gloucester England, born in the early 1700's. Daniel married a Sarah Bolton, and Daniels father is said to have died "In the Kings service in America. I was told that the family originally left Glasgow Scotland in the time of the rebellions 1600 in the reign of Charles the first. Without Daniels fathers name we are stuck.
My grandmother was a Carswell born 1889. The family all lived in Brentwood Essex.
Thankyou Anne Beadle

On the Caswell (Carswell?) brothers. Many moons ago you left a message that you had newspaper articles from Warren, Idaho on these brothers and would I like to have copies. Very belatedly (sorry) the answer is yes.
Hope you are still there.
Wes

Many Caswell references in Wells, Merle W. -- "Gold Camps & Silver Cities/Nineteenth Century Mining in Central and Southern Idaho." Idaho Department of Lands, Bureau of Mines & Geology, Moscow, Idaho, 1983.
As well as Helmer, Cheryl. -- "Warren Times/A collection of news about Warren, Idaho." Henington Publishing Company, Wolfe City, TX., 1988. Includes the greater Warren area.
Helmer's book is oversized & bound, maybe 12" x 24".
Happy Researching!
Sharon
