Oscar Eskelson, 71, Dies of Injuries From Bull attack
Oscar Edwin Eskelson, 71, of Emmett, route 2, a Gem county farmer, died Saturday morning in an Emmett hospital of injuries suffered Tuesday morning when he was attacked by a bull on his farm.
Mr. Eskelson was born Oct. 24, 1881, in Woodland, Utah, and was reared in Woodland and Francis, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University for two years and served a mission in the western states for the LDS church. He was married Sept. 4, 1907, at Woodcross, Utah, to Laura L. Hatch and the couple lived at Camas, Utah, before moving to Emmett in 1943.
He was a member of the LDS church.
Serviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Leonard S. and DeVan O Eskelson, both of Provo, Utah;three daughters, Mrs. Lucinda Lewis of Camas, Utah, Mrs. Beth Barney of Midvale, Utah, and Mrs Deone Rogers of Gooding, and six borthers, two sisters and 15 grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the LDS church Monday. Bishop A. R. Tilley officiated. The remains were sent by Beatty chapel to Camas, Utah, for services. Interment will be at Bountiful, Utah.
