Does anyone have access to this cemetary? My gg-granndfather supposedly is buried there. His name was Andrew Henry, born 1853/1855 He is on the 1910 census but not the 1920. Possibly died in 1911.

I found Kate Henry, wife of Andrew D. Henry 1858-1887 listed in the East Union (Bramblett) Cemetery, but Henry is not listed. My info is from "The History of Nicholas County" compiled and edited by the late Joan Weissinger Conley

Thanks. I had been looking for her also, but was trying to find Andrew first. I am grateful for the info. Andrew also, went by the initials A D., but since he had remarried, I am not sure where he is buried.

Does anyone know if the Bramblett Cemetery is at the East Union Church in Nicholas County, KY? Is the church still there? I have discovered that my gr gr gr grandmother, Millie Brandon Booth (mother of Millie Frances Booth who married William Oliver (Polk) Wilson), was suppposed to have been a member of East Union Church for 78 years. She was born in 1803 and died in 1900. I would love to have any information/pictures about the church and/or cemetery.

As far as I know the church is not there. The cemetery is located off of 57 (Lot Young Road), on Snake Ridge Road on a private farm. I have been down there and couldn't find anything, but only because I was short on time. If you have a GPS it would be easier to find Latitude: 38.215N
Longitude: -83.99W.

According to the cemetery listing in "History of Nicholas County", the following in the East Union (Bramblett) cemetery:
Booth, Nellie or Miller (?)dau of J.M. and D.P. Booth, 1870-1870--Wilson,U.P. 1825-1830
The East Union Christian Church now standing was rebuilt sometime in the 1980s. The one before it was built 1n 1897 to replace the one destroyed by fire. The following relating to the East Union Christian Church also came from the above mentioned book.
"In 1829 "one and on-half acres of land upon which the church stood was purchased from John Fowler of Fayette County, KY for the sum of $3.00 current Kentucky money." The deed was given to the trustees of the church and is recorded in Book H, page 507, Nicholas County."
I will scan through my book when I have more time and if I find anything else relating to your post, will let you know.

Thank you so much for the information. Do you know if the church records were destroyed by the fire? That history sounds really interesting. Do you know if the book can still be purchased?

Cathy
